Biography
Joseph Medaglia is an artist, filmmaker and scholar. He holds a BFA in Visual Art and a MA in Communication and Culture. His creative work and research explore the relationship between representation, identity and the body, in particular as it relates to LGBT and queer subjects. His artistic practices vary and include experimental video, costume, textiles, craft, interactive media, and robotics. He is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Communication & Design at Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada.
