Biography
joshua carro is a sound artist based out of L.A. California. Studying music from the age of 11, joshua received a Bachelors in Music Performance from Arizona State University where he studied with J.B. Smith, Mark Sunkett, and Dom Moio. carro’s works have been performed and downloaded all over the world including Japan, U.K., Europe, and Russia with reviews from Norman Records, Silent Ballet, and H.L.M. netlabels. Currently pursuing a Masters of Fine Arts at CalArts, joshua studies composition with Wolfgang Von Schweinitz and tabla from Pandit Swapan Chaudhuri. “Being an improviser by nature, i am an artist that not only loves his craft, but also has an inner necessity to share the beauty of nature through the medium of sound in all of its forms. Through composing and improvising at an early age, i have always been fascinated by the phenomenon of sound and its power to create and reveal existing beauty.”
